Apollo GraphQL client and React – How can I simulate an onError scenario?

I’m basically trying to test the fallback error handling for a form I’m developing and am unsure of how to get the XHR request to fail into Apollo’s onError handler. Could someone clue me in on how this can be done? I need to be able to do it through the browser; I don’t have control of the API/server.
