Looking for a Material UI alternative

I’ve been using material UI in my projects for a min. I like it well enough but I’ve seen some concerning benchmarks on it recently. The thing is, I’m not really sure where to go instead. To be honest my experience with component libraries is they tend to be bloated and heavy. The alternative of course would be to just roll my own CSS, which is certainly doable. I’m just wondering if there are any good recommendations.
